Matt Hendricks of the Edmonton Oilers has been a huge supporter and is also on the Board of Directors for United Heroes League.
While playing with the Washington Capitals, Matt attended fundraisers and posed for the Defending the Blue Line Public Service Announcement. He and his wife Kim worked hard to help DTBL become established in the Washington DC area. Through their generous contributions, and Kim’s tireless work helping secure corporate partners, DTBL was able to bring it’s programs full scale to our nations capital for the 2011 – 2012 season.

November 25, 2013 – During Military Night at the Predators game, the Preds and Matt Hendricks gave 200 tickets to DTBL military families. The Predators wore special military themed jerseys, which which were auctioned off during the game to benefit Defending the Blue Line®.

August 3, 2013 – Matt Hendricks attended the NHL Players Charity game at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota Campus. The game and autograph session was a benefit for Defending The Blue Line® and the military kids it supports.
December 2012 – Matt Hendricks joined DTBL president and founder, Shane Hudella, on the USO Holiday Tour. Also joining him were the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey, six-time USO tour entertainer and critically-acclaimed country music singer Kellie Pickler; Washington Nationals pitchers Ross Detwiler and Craig Stammen; Washington Capitals forward Matt Hendricks and comedian and host of the CBS show “Excused” Iliza Shlesinger. and several entertainers on the USO tour. June 20, 2012 – Matt attended the NHL Players Charity Game to benefit DTBL. It was a great day and evening of autographs and a hockey game between Team East/Air Force/Fox9 vs Team West/Army/KARE11.
