The Anaheim Ducks and United Heroes League are hosting a Military Kids Hockey Clinic and Equipment Giveaway!
Who – 50 Military kids ages 7 to 14.
What – Equipment giveaway.. kids will receive a brand new pair of Bauer skates, polo shirt, mouthguard, and bracelet.
** We would like it to be a surprise for the kids!! (the new skate part, so maybe parents just tell the kids they are going to skate at the Ducks new facility to try it out) **
Where – The Rinks, Anaheim ICE 300 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim CA 92805
When – Friday August 9th, 2:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Why – Thanks for their parents service!
Additional scope & timeline:
The goal is two-fold…
1. We want to give military kids who are interested in learning to skate the opportunity to do so.
2. We also want to provide a mini-clinic taught by Ducks coaching staff for those who already play hockey.
2:45pm – military family check in / waiver collection
3:00 – Kids head to locker room
3:15 Kids take the ice in the new skates *** first time skaters/non hockey kids will be separated to one side of the rink, hockey playing kids will go to the other side and Ducks staff will work with each group. **
** Very important that kids participating in the hockey portion bring their entire set of hockey equipment with them!! **
