Background:
UHL Outdoors director, Steve Payne will be hosting a youth deer hunt in St. Croix Falls, Wi. Participants will be set up with a crossbow and enclosed stand to hunt on the 1000-acre property of Big Rock Creek. The weekend will kick off with a walk-through of the property, general hands on with the crossbow and a cookout and campfire with NHL alumni Steve Payne and Neal Broten. Participants will also be provided with a camper on the property to stay in for the weekend.
Event Details:
WHO: Male & female military kids ages 12-17. Open to all branches, currently serving service members and Veterans
WHAT: Youth White-Tailed Deer hunt with crossbow
WHERE: Big Rock Creek, St. Croix Falls, WI
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 14 at 3:00 PM – Sunday, Oct. 16.
Requirements:
1 Parent or guardian must accompany the event with their child.
Parents will need to complete a media and injury waiver for UHL.
Child must be between the ages of 12-17, possess a hunter safety certificate or bowhunting education certificate and be willing to purchase a WI bow license.
**Two Children will be selected to attend this event along with each accompanying parent.
