Free Hockey Camp | Surprise NHL Guests | New Gear for Every Kid
*Please keep in mind the giveaway and the NHL guests are meant to be a surprise for your kids so help us keep that under wraps!*
The UHL, in proud partnership with the NHLPA, Colorado Avalanche is hosting an unforgettable free hockey camp for military kids — and it’s packed with surprises!
This special afternoon at Ball Arena is dedicated to the incredible families who serve our country. We’re giving their kids a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to skate where the pros play — and meet NHL legend:
🏒 Devon Toews – Colorado Avalanche defenseman, NHLPA member, and one of the top blueliners in the game today
What to Expect
♦ FREE top-tier hockey equipment donated by the NHLPA for all participating kids
♦ Surprise meet-and-greet with Devon Toews – plus autograph & photo ops
♦ Fun, skills-based hockey instruction led by UHL coaches
♦ Media spotlight – The Avalanche and NHLPA will capture and share footage of the event to celebrate our military families. Footage from the camp will be featured in the Avalanche’s Military Appreciation Night on December 18, 2026, including a special video aired in-arena and on the Altitude Network. This is more than a hockey camp — it’s a thank-you to the families who serve, a celebration of community, and a memory your child will never forget.Dev
If your military child would be interested in being a part of this event please fill out the form below for each qualified child in your family. Once selections are made we will email all applicants, due to limited availability not all applicants will be selected.
