The UHL, in proud partnership with the NHLPA, Colorado Avalanche, and Altitude Sports, is hosting an unforgettable free hockey camp for military kids — and it’s packed with surprises!
This special afternoon at Ball Arena is dedicated to the incredible families who serve our country. We’re giving their kids a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to skate where the pros play — and meet two NHL legends:
🏒 Devon Toews – Colorado Avalanche defenseman, NHLPA member, and one of the top blueliners in the game today
🏒 Brent Burns – Legendary NHL all-star and larger-than-life personality
What to Expect
♦ FREE top-tier hockey equipment donated by the NHLPA for all participating kids
♦ Brand-new composite sticks courtesy of Devon Toews’ Bauer rep
♦ Surprise meet-and-greet with Toews & Burns – plus autograph & photo ops
♦ Fun, skills-based hockey instruction led by UHL coaches
♦ Media spotlight – The Avalanche and NHLPA will capture and share footage of the event to celebrate our military families. Footage from the camp will be featured in the Avalanche’s Military Appreciation Night on November 11, 2025, including a special video aired in-arena and on the Altitude Network. This is more than a hockey camp — it’s a thank-you to the families who serve, a celebration of community, and a memory your child will never forget.
